you know, aaron, i think that the yamaha marine stuff will be the best.  yamaha should have already jumped all the hoops on this one.  there are a couple of products that i am suspicious of.  first is shimano drag grease when it is used in bearings.  seen plenty of shimano bearings gone bad.  i think the teflon grease sucks up water and salt.  by extension, that makes cal's grease suspect as well.  second, the red grease that avet uses.  i've seen plenty of failed right main side plate bearings.  part of the reason for that might be the extreme loads that the avet right main side plate bearings are subject to, but the red avet grease might simply soak up to much water on it's own.  i'll stick to yamaha marine for now.
