i picked up a slosh50. it casts well with mono, i've heard other reels dont work well casting braid, before i load up a full reel worth of braid($  ) would anyone know if it will work out on that reel .. thanks

Hi,

They spin well, we use them for surf casting. So that might be a problem for use with braid - potentially too fast. Best consider using all the centrifugal braking you can first, to see if it give trouble. After that you can get more braking by retro-fitting a magnetic braking kit.

one problem is braid getting stuck in between the spool and the side plate. that likely will not happen with the daiwa.
