Hi Doradoben,

Well, I don't really know what it is either but I haven't looked at it too closely.  I believe that it's spectra laced very closely and tightly.  I've really never had to use something like this to keep spectra from turning on the spool arbor.  For some reason I just decided to leave it alone for now.  I'll look into it a little more carefully and let you know what I find.  Glad you liked the tutorial.  josa1
