The spool on my 12000D has a broken part to it and I need help identifying the name of the part (or part number). The picture below shows the broken part that I need identified. Does anyone know if Shimano sells this part or is it covered under warranty? (Don't want to have buy a new spool if I don't have too.)

Thanks for any help you can provide.

Here is a link to the shimano site, including the schematic, parts list, and order screen...

I don't see the part number listed.  Not sure if they will sell you this part seperately.  It appears to be considered part of the entire spool assembly (RD13575).  They want $53 for the entire spool assembly.  For this price (or near it) you may be able to find a used or parts reel.

You may have to give Shimano a call....

Are you sure the clicker pawl is broken?  If it is just getting more quiet, progressively..you may need a new spool support (RD7588), or take a file to it, to make the depressions more 'crisp'.

That part is not critical...it will just tell you that line if peeling out but if you are fishing that big of a reel, the line pulling off the reel will have a wound since the line will be very tight and you would be hanging on for dear life.
:D I talk with every part I send out and each reel I repair so that they perform at the top of their game. :D

It'snot normally covered as Iit's usually broken by re-insllation and that being jamed on the spool support washer. That'swhy Iit normally snaps.

Had it happen to my faithful Shimano Saros 1000F.

Shimano Australia reluctantly warranted it by switching the spool with a new one...

Who knows what Shimano USA will do for you?

So I callled Shimano and they sent out a new drag clicker (free of charge) but I suspect it will get broken too on the next big biter.  ::)
