any one know what I parts I can use to replace the drag? It's just the straight up 80.

Reel 224

Snazzy name chesapeakhooker :D Try PMing Bryan he should have something. I have family that live on the Pokomok river leading to the Chesapeak. How is the Stripper fishing? Welcome to the fold. This is a great place for reel repair parts and questions. Enjoy

You will have to open the reel. It could very well be a twin drag having 2 drag washers. Parts 117 and 117A.

The penn parts have been discontinued. I won't start striper fishing for another week or so.

I think I installed the last one of those drag washers 2 years ago.

What we could possibly do is remove the old drag material and epoxy a new drag material to the drag plate...or if you have the donut, cut a new drag washer from Carbontex material.  We were talking with Dawn a while back about these too, but didn't think there was much demand for them.  I think they are 1.6 mm thick if I recall.  I only have drag material up to 1.2 mm thick.  It may be possible to glue a couple of pieces up though to build the thickness.
:D I talk with every part I send out and each reel I repair so that they perform at the top of their game. :D

Take a look at this link - it may be helpful as you can use parts for other Penn reels as a one for one swap:
