Good Used Ultralight Penn Spinner

Needing to replace my ultralight reels. What are some good Penn models on the used market for up to 10 - 15 lb. test....Jeff

I love my Penn 4200SS. Not many around, but they're solid for small game.

Well I was digging around in my storage & found 2 4300SS . One is in great shape the other brand new BUT.... was literally run over by a truck on the highway in Minnesota. Forgot I had them.

10-15# test is more like a 5500SS.

4300SS is a 6-8# test reel. 4200SS reel is closer to a 2-6# test reel.

Brian, yes you are correct. I wasn't going to use these for anything heavier than you mention. Though I do remember pushing one of them when fishing for Wiper....JEFF

Even though the 420&430SS come with the skirted spools, they share the same gears as the "Z" series. Gears on both are the same size.
As mentioned above those are 6-8lbs reels, but I believe could take a little more.

The 650SS is more of a 10-15lbs reel, but of course heavier.
