Nice white King caught in Kodiak, first time using my modified Charter Special, open top frame with large handle and greased carbon fiber drags.

Nice King,
About 25 lbs? :D
There is nothing like lying flat on your back on the deck, alone except for the helmsman aft at the wheel, silence except for the lapping of the sea against the side of the ship. At that time you can be equal to Ulysses and brother to him.

Light the BBQ :) Trolling Herring? Down rigger? Is that Near Is. In the background?

:D I talk with every part I send out and each reel I repair so that they perform at the top of their game. :D

Didn't have a scale on the boat, but I figure it was between 25 and 60 lbs😀

Trolling herring on a downrigger off of GibsonCove, that is Near Island in the background.

Leave the gun.  Take the cannolis.

There are two things I don't like about fishing.  Getting up early in the morning and boats.  The rest of it is fun.

My kind of estimating....."between 25 and 60 lbs".......sweet times...
It may not be very productive,
but it's sure going to be interesting!
