just wanted to say glad I discovered this site it saved me from just throwing away a couple penns I
Had problems with and has given me insight into a whole new world.
I have always been a fix it myself guy and will give anything a try but reels always intimidated me some.
With this information on this site I fear nothing now ha ha.
Thanks for all the hard work everyone has put into this site it's amazing.
Lastly I must brag and say I have 1 son 5 daughters 21 grandchildren they all love to fish so therefore
My work is done here.

You have a lot of reels to keep in top condition for your kids and grandkids.

Welcome Clancy you are on a great site here with many excellent people to guide you in whatever reel problem you may have. Just want to say as a father of two Daughters, that you having 5 Daughters means your work is never done. ;D ;D

5 daughers...you are one gutsy guy.

If we can be on any reel help, just ask.  We all started from the beginning and we are also learning until the end.
:D I talk with every part I send out and each reel I repair so that they perform at the top of their game. :D

hi   clancy      welcome, penns almost never die as long as you take care of them, with that large family that loves to fish ,fix up those penns and enjoy your family fishing time together.     harryk

Hey Clancy,  grandpas rule!
You will have to start building them a nice reel to use, then a hot rod reel, it goes on and on.
And it never gets boring.  You won't find a more helpful interesting bunch of characters anywhere.

There are two things I don't like about fishing.  Getting up early in the morning and boats.  The rest of it is fun.
