This weekend I opened up a 344-5 that belonged to one of the mates. He said it was not working right and what I found was that the CF under the gear was shredded. Thanks to Sal for coming up with the Delrin under gear washer idea. I have had no issues in my personal reels that get about 90 days of action a year with the delrin so I replaced the under gear CF with a delrin on this 344 and I should not hear of another problem.
