Sorry for the corny title , promise I wont do it again 

My name is Alan but to avoid confusion I went with swoffer , its a name ive used since the very early days of the internet and on an Aussie site called Western Angler , which is where I first came across the name Alan Tani . I am a retired charter operator and trawler skipper and am now a very small time reel service and repair guy here in West Aus.

This website has become an invaluable resource for me so I thought it was time I joined up and contributed if I can .
