Thanks for bringing some light to that slotted take apart screw...neat find!
I would have assumed custom job because I've never noticed it before.

The slotted screw is not common; but, I have seen a few of them. Keep watch, I think more will come up.

A quick look at the 21 or so recent Silver Beach (modern & non-numbered) EBAY listings turns up all non-slotted takedown retainer screws.  None of these listing a waffle cut clicker reels.  I will be keeping an eye out for this difference in the future (for curiosity's sake).  Once again, thanks for sharing the knowledge Mike!
