Rapala Test

This a.m. I couldn't fish very long,and before I left the dock I cast a Brown Crawdad 1.5" 3/16oz Rapala that floats to just let it sit.30 mins later I checked it,and the rod is bent over.Thinking it was going to be a big ole bass...yet it was one of my largest grass carp!They are 30" now, 12# or better.Thankfully,just as I was about to net it,the Rapala came loose.Those treble hooks are probably the sharpest you can find,but it came out. It was quite a battle & glad the carp was ok.

Carp will surprise me sometimes. Last lure hook-up for me was on a Mepps Spinner.
