Hi yaall I'm Allen00 I'm just starting out collecting reels and restoring them I just bought a Penn no.149 reel it seems to be in exceptional shape

You are in the right place.  Spend some time checking out the existing postings, and don't be afraid to ask questions.  We have a number of Penn guys here, including the guy who wrote the books on the history of Penn Reels.

These vintage reels are very easy to work on.
If you get stuck, there are a bunch of guys here that could  help you out.

Welcome Allen.  Those Penn reels are easy to work on after you have a couple under your belt.  If it is of the first ones you're tackling just jump in and ask for help.  Dominick
Leave the gun.  Take the cannolis.

There are two things I don't like about fishing.  Getting up early in the morning and boats.  The rest of it is fun.
