Hi guys, I am looking for a lighter arm and handle combination to better balance my Charter Special 2000 on the rod. The current stock arm and Kolekar grip is nice and solid but weighs in at over 6 1/2oz, I think the reel would really benefit from a alloy alternative. Any ideas are welcome.

Would a lighter arm from a Calcutta 400 or 700 or similar fit the CS?  I was looking for a counter-balanced arm/handle like the one on the Curado 300ej(too small) that will fit the shaft.  I could enlarge the hole on a Curado arm but I would rather find one that fits right if that is possible.  Thanks

Don't know at all, but pm me if you want to sell the Kolekar grip.  8)

The Tekota 600 handle/arm seems ideal, but after looking at a picture of the Tekota arm I wondered if the inward bend designed for the star drag would in fact clear the drag lever on the CS. If there is a problem I can look at other options.

The Calcutta 700 has a flat arm which would clear the lever if it fits the shaft?

I picked up a couple cheap ones off EBay that are quite light/suitable for Salmon trolling no idea if it would stand up to the rigors of jigging.
