Penn 114h red side plates vs. Burgundy side plates

Can anyone tell me is there a difference in the Penn 114 h with the red side plates versus the penn 114h with burgundy side plates. Both of these reels are full post reels. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Red is newer, and the burgundy may have external access drags and steel gearing (or not). except for a top hat washer in external access reels, the parts are interchangeable.
