My pleasure ! I don't know how my Emcast is still working. I have had other spinners more expensive, but the Daiwa is the only survivor. I have a feeling that I'll be fishing it for a long time still!

I recently serviced my Emcast Sport, and man, that reel has one helluva design for a $59.99 reel! No wonder they discontinued it!

I also have reel and after a recent fishing trip think it a load of garbage. It lasted a total of one fish well not even that the first hit from a fish. On inspection after the trip the main gear had failed, shearing the main gear off the body, and breaking a tooth off the gear the drives the spool in and out. I don't use this reel a lot and after this failure I have no faith in it at all. I can't go 200k's from port to have this happen on the first fish. I realise that this is an old posting but I've been looking for anything related to my experience.
