Okay, glad you guys can use it.  It's more complex than anything I could do in a spreadsheet.  Although, it is basically very simple:  Every time you complete a new layer of line going across the spool, the new "working radius" becomes bigger by the thickness of the line.  What I did not factor in is that the spool width changes as it flanges out in many spools.  I could add something like that to the program, but it is probably overkill.  Probably best to use an inside spool width somewhere halfway between the hub and outer edge.

Thank you very much for this. A truly useful tool; i have missed having exactly this for many years. (There used to be one on the 3Tand website, but it was suddenly removed.)

Thanks again.
Leave this in trade, my favorite capacity calculator, because it is very simple and completely mathematical.

And then there are these, that have a few other parameters:

Okay, these are neat too, thank you.  For those just reading this, the difference with mine is that it assumes you know nothing about line capacity specs of the reel.  So, you have to take some measurements of the spool.  And don't forget with mine you can save your measurements to a file.  Each spool or line is in a plain text file.  I'd keep all the spools in one folder and the lines in another and just load them in when needed.
