Hey guys.  Been using a Daiwa Legalis 2500sh for my 6lb test rig.  All around great reel for crappie trout bass and catfish.  It's put in some work.  Well the drag was ultra smooth but is starting to stick a little.  Smooth drag is on vacation and I'm headed out for fishing trip. So I need to lube the felt washers to get thru the next week or 2 until I can swap out the felt for cf. any suggestions on the proper oil?

ReelClean

I would be using a light silicone grease if you can find some, maybe an RC hobby store?

Should do the job, maybe cut it down with a light synthetic oil if too thick?

Update:  just rubbed in some reelx to lube drag for the weekend.  It worked.  Caught over 15 LMB over 16" with no problem.

But I just received the new drag washers and they aren't the same size.  Much less surface area!  Is this normal?
No it's not normally that big of a difference. It could be a difference in model years. Contact the seller to see if you can exchange them for ones of proper size. See http://smoothdrag.com/Carbontex_washer_sizes_Retail3-2014.pdf for available sizes b
