I'm in the van staal club now,,,, ;) got a nice deal on a old stock 7wt and got 3 trout on it the first day,,,, :) but dewayne hooked a 9to10lb rainbow the fight was a min or so before he kicked the hook I hope I can post the video,,,,, ;D

Man, it took you long enough  ;) .  I remember way back when you first went to that Orvis meeting.

Those are some pretty incredible trout you guys are in to.

Thanks man,,,, :) we had to go back today to see if dewayne could hook him again but no luck,,,,,, ;D

Let's call this throw back Thursday.  Going through mom's picture books I found this picture of me from October 1972.  Making me eight years old.  The notes say it ws on the Umpqa River in Oregon, the rod was a Browning, 300 Mitchell with 6 lb test.  The lure if I remember correctly was a gold colored spoon, hammered on one side.  Sadly we were traveling by car and ended up donating the fish to a restaurant in exchange for a salmon steak dinner.  Bill
It may not be very productive,
but it's sure going to be interesting!
