I'm in the van staal club now,,,,

got a nice deal on a old stock 7wt and got 3 trout on it the first day,,,,

but dewayne hooked a 9to10lb rainbow the fight was a min or so before he kicked the hook I hope I can post the video,,,,,

Let's call this throw back Thursday. Going through mom's picture books I found this picture of me from October 1972. Making me eight years old. The notes say it ws on the Umpqa River in Oregon, the rod was a Browning, 300 Mitchell with 6 lb test. The lure if I remember correctly was a gold colored spoon, hammered on one side. Sadly we were traveling by car and ended up donating the fish to a restaurant in exchange for a salmon steak dinner. Bill
