Quote from: Gfish on June 01, 2026, 07:38:10 AMThat's what I call a real P/U truck. Probably just me, but I don't get why almost all of 'em come as 4-door club-cab rigs nowadays. The beds are so short. Kinda wrecks the idea for me of a real working "pick-up truck". I see people hauling refrigerators all the time, but they have to strap 'em down in the stand-up position.
The old school club-cab Pick-ups had full size beds for hauling and enough room for a crew of six.
There not as pretty the long beds,,,,but more useful and you don't need a red flag to hang off the back,,,, ;)

Quote from: Crow on June 01, 2026, 09:57:46 PMYou have a regular detail shop going there, Benni! How much to do my two Chevy's?
I have heard so many guys say there the best car detailer in the whole roanoke valley,,,, ??? It's to funny and my mom, dad, girlfriend would tell me I need to get a job instead of sleeping all day,,, ;) but I was redoing a car like this to sell,,,,then I would find a job and then I would sell the car and then I would get laid off and then I would start all over again,,,,, ;D

This is not the correct way to fix a headliner,,,,really you should take it out and but new fabric in it $$$ the main thing is to use high temperature spray glue or it not going to hold,,,, :o

Benni3

If you're not going to sell it you can improvise

Benni3

Smashed armrest,,,super glue the plastic,,,then pull the vinyl back in place and shape it,,,, ;D

Noticed what looked like window cranks on the door. I see a lota vehicles here with tarps, cardboard, etc., because of electrical window failure(it rains almost every day) and I really wish I had them, because it's only a matter of time before corrosion seeps in. Already had one door speaker partially fail that way.
Good job with the cane improvisation.

I have oiled the window rubber and marine grease moving part to keep stressing off the motor in other cars,,,, ;)

Our resident detailer/repair person. Now that I've buttered you-up, maybe I can trespass on your thread for some advice; what to fill a corrosion hole with. About 1-2" deep. Product and preparation. The silver piece of metal will be bolted over the hole to fasten the new lift gate shock onto. Last picture is the one I replaced.
If a no-go, I can have a moderator delete, lemme know...
