Bill Kiene

I am retired from 50 years in the sporting goods business in Sacramento, California.

Many years ago I worked in a bait-n-tackle shop where I repaired rods and reels.

There are so many fishing reels today compared to when I started.

I am an old fan of the Penn conventional and Penn spinning reels.

I have used Youtube videos for help in working on newer reels.

The past 30 years I had a fly fishing shop in Sacramento, CA.

This is an exciting forum.......thanks to Alan and his team.

Wow Bill, great to have you here!

I'm sure you've forgotten more about gear than I'll ever know.

Hi Bill!!

I use to frequent your shop 25-30 years ago, for Sierra foothills trout and Nor Cal steelhead gear and supplies.  I gradually got out of fly-fishing over 20 years ago, especially after the floods of '95 (flood waters play hell on priorities and equipment).

Welcome.

Hey Bill!
Bought a ton of stuff from you over the years on my way north to Almanor and Mcloud. Lots of fantastic beta as well.
Great to have you here and welcome!
Will the store still be open ?  Did you sell the store or liquidate?

There is nothing like lying flat on your back on the deck, alone except for the helmsman aft at the wheel, silence except for the lapping of the sea against the side of the ship. At that time you can be equal to Ulysses and brother to him.
