I like learning new ways to catch fish, on Monday evening and Tuesday I learned to jig for kokanee from a pro.  We ended up with 100 fish. Trolling has been slow.

Forget about all the reasons why something may not work. You only need to find one good reason why it will.-Sal

We used 1/4 and 1/2 ounce Gibbs Minnows, mini iron.  Cast to jumpers, marked fish or blind cast, let drop 5-20 feet, 6-8 inch twitch and 1-2 cranks on the reel, drop 1 second, twitch, reel, drop, twitch, reel, drop.

That's just how we jig for stripers on the Delta and the Feather... but not for a hundred!

But a couple decent stripers would outweigh 100 8" Kokanee!

They won't be tasting the same, though. ;)
