Hi all,
I've been keeping an eye on auction sites here in Australia for a couple of DAMs however there do not seem to be too many in circulation. The few I have come across all have a cracked reel foot. I've attached a photo of a couple of 330s currently listed to show. Is this a common problem or just a sign of severely abused reels?

Cheers,
Andrew

I'm no expert in dam quick by a stretch but I've cracked a few feet when I thighten the reel seat too tight and the front of they foot gets  jammed in the hood. Broke the foot of the front of a Newell black marlin kit on a 6/0 like that when I banged it on the ground trying to get it out. Seems like it would happen to any reel in that situation.  Even money that's what happened to those

Yep, I bought this 220N with a cracked foot for six bucks but it still mounts up fine.  Don't have a clue how it got damaged.

They generally get dropped on concrete.
