Yup. What to do though? I hate lawns to begin with. Yeah, they look nice and they're good to play on, but expensive to care for and time consuming and lawnmower/weedeater noise oriented. Gimme cement, bout 10' around my house and 10' wide driveway.
Fishing tackle is an art form and all fish caught on the right tackle are"Gfish"!

;D  OK I call you Old fashion or Stubborn , I am in the same boat .  I do have gas powered and 110 electric powered blowers , chain saws and hedge trimmers .    I will pick the 110  electric tools  first.    Cheaper to run  , always starts when you hit the trigger .

I do not know what the cost analyst is to charge up batteries verse using 110 straight .
Yes it is nice to pick up a battery tool for the quick work .

I have a strip in the middle of the backyard and down the far side of the house .  Usually a 5 minute job including 1 stop to empty the pickup bag !

Most of my smaller stuff like blowers, weedeaters, etc. are electric. It's all those batteries polluting the world that I dislike and am against.  ;)
Love those open face spinning reels! (Especially ABU & ABU/Zebco Cardinals)

No matter what we as human kind do now, there are too many of us, more than this earth can sustain.
I prefer to keep soil and indigenous plants around my yard, looks nice and is as close to what that patch is supposed to look like..... I think.

Just think of drainage if you have cement, concrete, pavers and whatever where must all the water go when there are big rains?    All around the world there are floods.

Have any of you seen this:-
It's a bit long but an animation of a new pumping system currently being installed in the Netherlands, those pumps can fill an Olympic size pool in 50 seconds!  There are high quality webcams somewhere, I HAVE SEEN THEM BUT CAN'T FIND THEM NOW.

The Netherlands has a new problem, too much water is now moving from land towards the sea and they now need to increase the rate of drainage in to the ocean.    They have managed their old problem too well, keeping the ocean out of the land.

Sorry, this is deviating a bit from plastic carbs...LOL

I'm with Tommy; if I'm in the garage that drill is usually an ancient B&D 110V corded drill (that probably weighs 5#  ;D )and I have a compressor and full set of pnuematics, but 9/10 times on the vehicles I am grabbing that Milwaukee cordless impact.  So handy and powerful, (and I would be first to admit given the price I am probably trying to subconsciously justify the purchase by using it more). - john
