Hey guys..did the older Sealine conventional reels have the capability for both left or right hand setup? does anyone know what years this was applicable to? thank you...Clem

Ruffy

Hi Clem, I think this was only applicable to the older gold sealines that were marketed as Daiwa-Seiko. I've attached a photo of one which I took off the net just for reference.

Cheers,
Andrew

Clem, if the pic Ruffy has posted is the reel in question, then here is (the slightly modified) bridge plate.

The came with an extra post for left or right dog placement.

In looking (starting in 2008) for Sealines to build up my offshore lineup and parts reels of 30H, 50H (parts), SMF170H, 300H, 350H (parts), 400H, and 600H, I've never encountered any lefty versions (including what was tagged as JDM). There were none listed up to the last year (2014?) on the Sealine H webpages that were still up on http://www.daiwa.com/us/.

Yes Clem, here is the thread

This reel has taken a back seat for a while, but will get too it one day. Will try and finish rebuilding the thread ASAP.
