That spring's out there somewhere... but I found about 6 Penn coil springs in my stash. The skinniest one worked. 'Bout~20 gear changes and it's holding-up, nowhere to go? Thanks again Joe.

Found it. 5.5mm x 1.85mm. Swept-up work space floor and found these usable metal items. The split ring is slightly magnetic but not the spring or lock washer. Strong little spring, but no-way am I gonna put it in, I don't like punching out pins, especially from plastic(the red shifter).
