Seeing that reel in such new mint condition is a nostalgic moment for me ... bought one in '85 and fished it hard until last year and sold it to a guy who told me that the first big ray he hooked burnt out the clicker. I thought I was upgrading it when I bought a V20 Pro Gear - couldn't even tie a lure on before the braid went through the gap in the spool and frame 3 times. I returned it and bought a Penn 970, it is in need of a thorough cleaning, but I'm keeping this one. Too bad Penn does not service them anymore ..... I'm great at taking stuff apart, not so great at the putting back together part.
