So I'm working on one of these fierce 7000s for a friend. The problem was that it was clicking when reeling. So I found that the anti-reverse holder had feel of the dog and so the dog was hitting the inside at it turned. I put it back on but am finding that when turned or shaken it falls off sometimes. It looks to be in good condition, maybe slightly bent but I'm curious if anyone else has had this and how they remedied it...

There is a C Clip on top of the back up dog that holds it in place. It may be missing.

Also the AR bushing spring may need taken off and bent tighter to keep the dog away from the rotor as the reel turns.

Great thanks the dog is good but the piece I'm referring to is the a/r holder that sits on top of the dog and goes around a bushing. Part no. 10-7000SG. Thanks

Below that is the spring I mentioned to be tightened. The piece you mentioned has 2 little tabs where the spring fits. It goes down.

If all else fails just remove it and the dog. It will work fine.

Sorry I didn't get that the first time (I can be a little slow sometimes) I'll try to tighten that spring and see if that helps. Thanks!
