The first picture is a cast control which I have seen similar on this site the second cast control system which is a spring and washer. Have anyone else see this type of system before?Being a plastic spool it seems to slow it down realy quick.

Kim, I don't know that cast control screw but really like the idea of the spring and plastic washer.  Those fins under the spool flange and on the tail plate are also designed to slow the spool.
