Any electrical hobbyist here?

I have been looking into bench top power supplies, can't seem to find a decent 60v 20A Constant Current/Constant Voltage power supply.

I am very very hesitant in picking up a cheap Chinese copy, not knowing their track record.

I hate to see my $$$ go up in smoke literally  ;D

Maybe Chris/Tiddlerbasher will see this.  He would know.

You may struggle to find a 20 amp constant current psu - but regulated fixed 60v supplies are readily available e.g.

https://www.amazon.co.uk/MEISHILE-Switching-Transformer-Monitoring-Industrial/dp/B077CKV95L/ref=sr_1_5?dchild=1&keywords=60v+20+amp+power+supply&qid=1609157712&quartzVehicle=93-1821&replacementKeywords=60v+amp+power+supply&sr=8-5
I'm sure US Amazon have something similar.
I have been using a 12v 30 amp psu (same manufacturer IIRC) for a couple of years - no problems.

I know - Amazon world domination ::)
But they have their place, particularly in these times :(

Gentlemen, Thanks!

I looked up Amazon us and yes they do have a 60v20A switching power supply, I could hook it up to a unit like a Riden 6006 or 6018 and exactly what I needed.

Chris, Did you ever stress your PS to max? How did it hold up?

I used it to power some high intensity led panels 3x10A (emergency lighting project) for 24hrs - it got pretty warm (but not 'EL Scorchio' ;D) - it worked fine ;)
I considered the psu to be cheap and disposable - but it's still working - just because it's ROC doesn't mean it's total crap.
I don't buy Chinese fly rods but I will buy their cheap technology ;D
