Just wanted to make sure it got a good home.

When I get some time from rebuilds and restores on the bench -- I will probably put a few of these together out of new old stock parts.

Jeff will put this reel to good use on some big uglies.

Wayne kindly sent me one from Fred, it's a flat out beast and I would use it on anything I might use 9500SS for, including 80 lb braid grouper fishing.

Apologies for the thread resurrection - but, how did it perform?

Legitimate question - and I will have to say it worked fine    Now, full disclosure, it went on the June 2023 and June 2024 Royal Polaris 8 day, and for the last two years we never had a surface bite (which is what I have it set up for: Waxwings, Whopper Ploppers, etc).  It's going on the SOA 8-Day in a little under a month, fingers crossed we get some surface action! - john
