I have a drill bit for my dremmel that's made for enlarging holes. It cuts from the side of the bit. Don't know if it would work on that hardened steel though.

At least my problem is solved, except i need to find a replacement which is always a problem here.

I tried cutting the remaining bearing shell, is too hard material for my tools.

Alan.....I now think it will work as once I managed to get a "grip" on the casing, it came fairly easily after a it of penetrating oil.
