Thanks to all of you for reading the story.  Dominick, you are right that it's amazing how clearly we can remember events from decades past, especially when I can't remember what I had for breakfast yesterday.  The fish that I remember most vividly are the good ones that I lost, running those fights through my mind over and over again, kicking myself over what I woulda coulda shoulda done.
