Low profile BFS reel is apparently larger than expected

I was looking at the low profile baitcasters on Kastking.com (yes I use those, and they actually work pretty well).  I have a few of their Sparticus reels with aftermarket shallow spools that I can cast 1/8 oz lures 60 to 70 feet without backlash,  So when I noticed that they now have a shallow spool BFS model, so I took a look at it.   https://www.kastking.com/kastking-zephyr-bait-finesse-casting-reel_p0343.html

Much to my surprise, it is a lot larger than expected.

Apparently this image shows an 11.2" spool diameter  ???

Aside from the error on the spool diameter, I would expect this to be a typical sized low profile reel and spool.   I wouldn't mind trying one, but I have all the BFS reels I need right now.

Still, I have to chuckle when I think of tossing a tiny lure with an 11" spool diameter.

nice spool, but the rest doesn't seem finesse-specific...  probably slapped together
from parts already in production (or requiring minimal modification)
what's the point of such big main & high ratio for casing micro-lures/jigs a few dozen feet?
I'd want smaller main for smaller/lighter reel

The spool being oversized is a bit of a joke and an error in the photo.  I don't know anything about the internals of kastking zephyr, but the ones I have as BFS are the Kastking Sparticus (in no way designed as BFS) with the SeaKnight shallow spool.   I saw this elsewhere on the internet and gave it a try.   Don't know the max drag tension that the shallow Seaknight spool can handle but it does cast well.  Just polished the ends of the spool shaft with 5000 grit 3M triazact and TSI'd the spool bearings.    Fairly cheap stock reel with few tweaks casts light lures well.

On a side note aliexpress (and sometimes ebay) has shallow "BFS" spools for the Abu silver max and black max.

???The pictures on the site look "nice" and the dimensions are probably in CM.   Just some differentiation sales strategy me thinks. ???

They didn't even use the same whatevers to measure.

Theirs is the outer spool edge, the other is the arbor?

I've always wanted one of those shallow spools.

The Kastking ABU Ambassadeur knockoff round reels are not bad.  Actually, for $50 they are great.

The low profile Speed Demon with 10.5:1 and 42 IPT for $120 sounds interesting too.

No matter how you try the units of measure (inches, cm, mm) 11.2 diameter doesn't work.   A bit funny, but  I don't think it reflects badly on the $70 'BFS' reel, which is certainly not a Japanese market $300 BFS Revo.

This is basically the spool I have in my Kastking Sparticus:

Here are ebay and aliexpress links for Abu black max shallow spools:

I am not recommending the venders, just trying to show what is available
