I'm thinking that this belongs under the OFMER section.
Ofmer doesn't sound Italian to me. 😎

Thank You Mr. Foakes for moving this to the correct place.

Great fishing reel.
I think the Ofmer 409 is the reel that fits the ECP.

here are two more pictures of the previous model shown above.

Ofmers have quite the gearing system.  :o  I've got 25 or 30 Ofmer made reels (Eagle Claw, Pflueger, Montgomery Wards Hawthorn & Ofmers) in totes to go through one of these days when I get a little spare time.  :P They're a very high quality Italian made spinning reel that doesn't get a lot of press or respect that they deserve.  ;)
Love those open face spinning reels! (Especially ABU & ABU/Zebco Cardinals)

Nice to get a look at the innards of one of these reels.  I have heard the same good things Tommy mentioned about the quality of these reels; you just don't see them that often.

I got some Ofmers from the basement to show you. Really, as the previous speakers mentioned, great and relatively unknown reels made in Italy.

Front: Ofmer 400 and 409, middle: Ofmer 702 and 730, back: Ofmer 222

Transmission 409, 730
You can see the resemblance to Mitchell in the "sled".

Push button spool on the 730 and 409. Bail and crank can be attached

Transmission of the 222 and the 400

Spool from the 222 and 400 without a push button
