Well this sucks .
Doc says I have to go in for  a minor procedure on the day of the trip .
Going to miss everyone and the good times !
Tight  Lines !

Best,
JT
There is nothing like lying flat on your back on the deck, alone except for the helmsman aft at the wheel, silence except for the lapping of the sea against the side of the ship. At that time you can be equal to Ulysses and brother to him.

Does anybody know if we are fishing shallow again?
Or will it be a 300 ft drop again

If the weather forecast is correct I'd think we'd stay under 200' anyway. Hard to hold the boat in those kind of conditions.  Bring it all though, you never know, might take some shots deep

Good call to take it easy Alan, and give your body a chance to fight off those germs, but we are going to miss you.  Thanks for saving everyone a ton of money by donating the use of your house!

I am bringing two good used Mountain Cork reel bags (see photo at the bottom of this post) as prizes for the largest fish and the heaviest sack on Friday, so if you have a contender, don't forget to give it a shot on the scale at jackpot time.  If the same person gets both the heaviest fish and the heaviest sack, the second bag goes to the heaviest fish caught by someone else.

If any of you are going to be around on Thursday before 4:30 or on Saturday morning, you might want to take a look at the used rod and reel selection at Jerry's Marine in Morro Bay.  Mention Alan Tani and get 20% off already reasonable prices.  Below is a list of what was in stock as of last week.  I am also planning to deliver another load of mostly Penn reels and some good old Sabre blanks on Thursday afternoon.  Looking forward to seeing everyone on the Avenger.

Thanks,

Randy

Jerry's is located at 1158 Scott Street in Morro Bay. The entrance is on Market St, next to the Virg's Landing Sportfishing office. Temporarily reduced hours are Monday through Friday from 8-4:30. Open most Saturdays until noon.. Temporarily reduced hours are Monday through Friday from 8-4:30. Open most Saturdays until noon.
