Putting together my fall gulf trip rods

Yeah, my setup is homemade, and needs a better tension system. Momma don't care what's on the table as long as it's cleaned up before she gets home. 

The colors are Fuji BC Grey #029 and #005 Scarlet, and #001 Black. All size A thread, all my thread is size A, because I got most of what I have for free.

I definitely need to learn how to cast a stiffer rod, I keep arcing it up too high and not out in front of me. I am really not digging the bright yellow 20lb Power Pro, but it's what I have on that spool. I may pick up some blue or green and put on one of the other spools I got from Foakes, I wanna have all the spools full when I leave.

Another thing to get used to is the fast action...it really doesn't flex much for how much it weighs! This rod is very light in the hand. And long-fish get a lot of leverage against me. I'm gonna have to hit the gym before I leave to go south!
