Disabling the auto engage on a Saltiga Z30 and z20?

Any links or tutorials on how to disable the auto engage? Getting back to fishing and these are some of the reels I have left. I dont really do much jigging but would love to use these for casting.

The yoke plate interacts with the anti-reverse ratchet to make the reel auto engage. There is a kind of tooth on the plate that you would have to file off so the ratchet didn't kick the yoke plate up. Unfortunately because the mechanism is so simple it's not like you can just remove some small part to disable it.
