In the last few years several lures have been brought to my attention in that they are a little bit different, and to some more of the same.  Same is to reduce the amount of money that is in your wallet 💳...f :cf
Here is a couple of options for you fishing in the estuary and more upriver that are popular in Oregon Washington, BC, and Alaskan waters.
Rigging is the biggest difference actually, as these are mostly trolling plugs/lures and the states have different restrictions for the hooks,  as mostly the hatchery fish are caught,  releasing the wild fish is a good policy,  hence the barbless hook rule.
Here is a few examples of lures that can be stuffed with chopped bait and scent.

The ones earlier listed are rather slim, and spin in a fairly tight rotation.  Many people use a rotating flasher ahead as they have their own action, unlike the hootchy.
And brand is this,  and it has a spin and comes apart by pulling it apart, holes like the previous are for letting the scent out.  Rigging is shown.
There are some advantages to using these both.  Buying good quality bait can be expensive and the freezing, curing, skills of rigging might not always be necessary.
I've been out fished before and will be again, using the right lure on the right day as you won't know if you don't go!   :d
