Are there any alternatives to the wrench needed for Penn handle nuts? Looking to service a couple of older Penn's I recently purchased but I don't have a wrench.

I Love my AT Penn Wrench.

(Mine is engraved)
Buy it nice or buy it twice.

Have the AT wrench, but I also have a set of Metrinch open end/ring spanners that I use the 17&18mm sizes for the odd larger nuts you get occasionally see.  The design of their flank drive are just the right size and allows you to get locked into the cutouts in the nuts.

My argument against the standard penn wrench is that it's too thin. I have a tani wrench. But if i didn't, I would consider epoxying 2 penn wrenches together. Maybe cut the screwdriver end off one before gluing to not lose that functionality.
