thanks guys, as my compadre Lee said, I have seen reels with more corrosion than this one, so that Speaks very LOUD from quality from Penn international reels.

I have another story working on a Shimano trinidad (gold) reel that was "fished" from the bottom of the sea by a captain with his lure while fishing for orange mouth corvinas.

Good job Alex.  I have to wonder who did the pre-fishing service.  It had to have been one our members for that reel to survive with little damage.  I'm sure your friend will make a pretty centavo reselling it.
