Bail-less Pick/Up

I have a Bache-Brown Model 4 full bail reel with a broken piece that attaches the spool to the bail wire.  The reel in my mind has little value. 

I was thinking I might give it new life by replacing the full bail with a manual pick up similar to the attached photo. 

Would someone on this site know what make/model spinning reels might have a bail wire similar to what's shown here that might work?  I think Daiwa, later models of the Garcia Mitchell and some Penn models might work.

It's maybe not the same but I have a ton of old French half bail reels that were in a flood and look pretty rough. I imagine they don't have any financial value. Maybe one of them could help you?

The Bach Brown Model 4 Mastereel is totally different than the Aristocrat, Beachcomber & Larchmont models.

I have a Model 4 and the pickup roller is fixed just like the Vagabond so the bail wire can be removed for manual pick up. The difference between the two is how the other end of the wire is attached the winding cup.  But both were meant to be easily convertible.  Also, it is my understanding from reading both of Bob Halver's book is that the name "Aristocrat" was applied to the Bach Brown Model 4 in catalog listings; however, I have never seen one on the reel housing itself.

I posted on another thread the reason why I could follow Airex instructions (  https://alantani.com/index.php/topic,33146.15.html), see comments #26 & 28. 

However to save you time, my issue was the Bail Roller Cap (330-65) was broken and the Roller-Bail (330-62) was missing.

If you're interested, the results of what I did are in comment 28.
