Nylon oscillation clip 8631 for Cardinal 6--Anything better?

The bail arms on these reels are some kind of plastic looking material, and the bail return unit in the bottom of the rotor is maybe nylon(white parts). Never heard of any failures, but the oscillation arm block should never have been non-metal.

Oh, I don't know about that, Greg? I have two one owner first version Cardinal 6s with 1967 date codes on the feet, one my dad bought new and one I bought new. Both of them have seen a lot of use over the years and both have the original white nylon connecting fitting and both have original bail arms and bail plates. I don't think nearly 60 years of life out of those parts is too bad of a track record. :D
