One of Sal's favorite reels is a jigmaster. He still inspires me to this day. Tom at CortezConversions makes it easy to dream up your own build with all his available options. Randy Pauly sent me a few spools, so I built a few jigmaster 500 reels around those spools. If I can do it, anyone can !!

Buy it nice or buy it twice.

Those are some of the most beautiful jig masters in the world. I wonder if they will be chef queens or fished hard :fish  :fish  :fish
:D I talk with every part I send out and each reel I repair so that they perform at the top of their game. :D

After I built these reels, it still seemed like something was missing, so I added Pro Challenger custom stars and now I feel like a kid in the Ohana candy store

Nice reels Ted, very strong thick star, do you find if you place a delrin washer inside the star, it make it easier to turn the star, cheers Don.
Don, or donnyboat

I never thought of that Don, but the stars do turn fairly easy. I do have wavy washer under the star, and the stars are "fine" threaded, so the drag ramps up very slowly

I love those Pro Challenger drag stars, I have many.

They really make the "other bling" pop.

Mr. Chui is a good guy to boot and very helpful after the sale.

Buy it nice or buy it twice.

Catching Nemo

Nice. What remains from the original Penn parts?

Crow

They look too pretty to fish with!
There's nothing wrong with a few "F's" on your record....Food, Fun, Flowers, Fishing, Friends, and Fun....to name just a few !

Original parts would be internals, and handle nut with set screw, and shift lever nut, and bridge plate screws

Disagree
Any machine is a smoke machine if you use it wrong enough.
