What # test topshot on a max 55 lb reel

I'd set up the 30 with 100lb JB hollow spectra and change topshots as needed. The hollow leaves you with many more options on connections and splicing, also you still can tie it just like solid. Those 30 are way bigger and more powerful than you will need for 30-50lb line IMO. That 30 is better suited for 80 to 100 toppers. They sure nice reels and I bet you will love them.

The braid will be 80 lb (although test show that it breaks at much higher strength) because I already purchased the braid.
