Oldy but a Goody!

I bought this Olympic Spark 3200 about 46 years ago when I was in Hawaii to do some surf fishing.  I have the Olympic rod that I bought to go with it.  Thought you might enjoy the pictures.  Notice that one side says Spark 3200, but the casting shows Spark 200.  They must have run out of 3200 covers on the assembly line, like getting Chevy rocker arm covers on a Pontiac engine!

Looks pretty good. Couldn't see the oscillation parts in the schematic. Does the anti-reverse pawl engage the pinion gear?

No, the pinion gear is always engaged to the main gear, and above the pinion gear is an anti-reverse gear, which the pawl (anti-reverse dog) engages.

Yeah, that's what I mean.   
Spinners can have several different AR engagement points. The best to my knowledge is on the pinion,  right above the engagement point, (main to pinion), like on yours. Also Can be on the main gear, or, up inside the rotor.
