A staro reel small rotor must have been dropped. The rotor is out of round. When spool rotates it binds. What best way to correct? What tools do i need?

First, make sure it is the rotor that is bent —- and not the spool shaft.

If the spool shaft — that is easy to figure out with a metal straightedge —- then just tap it straight with a hard nylon faced hammer against a piece of wood that is squared plumb.

If the rotor —- make a curved wooden "cradle" for the rotor to rest in —- then another curved chunk of wood slightly smaller than the inside of the rotor.  Fasten the cradle in a secure vise —- then go to work carefully and gently tapping the inside chunk of wood with a good hammer —- it will go back to true round.

I make it 5 or 6 times, you know, just to be sure.
