Damn Ted, that's sweet! How much would you have saved by just going with a black PG 541?

 Yes Mark, I have a silver 541, and it's wider and bulky compared to Tom's 99 with his lightweight half frame. The 541 did cost less, but I couldn't pass on this opportunity. My PG545's have limitations on line capacity for live bait albacore. The 99 width line capacity is just right. Plus I can also use it for halibut and ling cod

I missed that it's a 99 size! A 545 doesn't have enough capacity for Albies? You don't use spectra backing? I used smaller reels for Albies back when they were a thing down here with straight 25 mono and never felt that I didn't have enough line.
