Hello,

The Heddon 234 that I serviced a while back just made the cut to get line put on it to actually go fishing. When I was putting line on it I noticed that the line was going on thicker on the drag knob end than the other end. As I understand it the spool needs a shim under it. Is that correct? If so, what material should the shim be? Right now it has the small fiber washer under the spool. When I eyeball it the line roller is level with the bottom of the spool where the line would go. There is not a spool arbor on the spool.

Thanks,

Steve
