Forget about all the reasons why something may not work. You only need to find one good reason why it will.   Alto Mare

Jueno, thanks for posting. It was a good fishing trip. Fishing was slow, but we did get Marlin, tuna, dorado and some trigger fish, also a variety of bonito. Dominick
Leave the gun.  Take the cannolis.

There are two things I don't like about fishing.  Getting up early in the morning and boats.  The rest of it is fun.

For those who have never had the pleasure to fish with the two of these guys at the same time... you wanna do that.  The friendly competition is border line too funny.  Little fishing is done unless the fish are really biting.  If it's slow the cracks and pranks come out.  I thoroughly remember and enjoy the day we spent together.  Keep at it guys... I hope you's can do it forever. :al
Best,
Dom
PS- never saw a needlefish like that... holy cow!! I've only caught finger sized ones in shark river.

Dominick

Yeah Dom, I was absolutely surprised at the size of that needle fish.  Even the captain said it was the biggest one he ever saw and he has been fishing the area for more than 30 years. Yes Joe is a lot of fun.  He was so jacked up about the sail fish that he showed everyone he saw a picture of it.  On the drive back from the marina I saw a guy loading scuba tanks into his truck, so I stopped the car and said to Joe "see that guy" he says "yeah why?" I said "he did not see the picture of your sailfish." So he jumps out of the car and showed the guy the picture while I sat in the car and laughed.  That fish was pooped. After we got it back in the water we had to hold it alongside the moving boat and move it back and until it revived. It took a couple of minutes and it seemed longer.  I was relieved when it started to swim on its own. BTW that fish was caught on 30lb line on one of those carbon fiber Shimano. That's what is exciting about fishing in Mexico, bycatch could be a sailfish or a marlin. The wahoo was bycatch on light line also.  I had to finesse it to the boat. You ought to join us next June or November.  Dominick
